The 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs App comes complete with all the content from the best selling books and when synced with Strava it really comes alive. Once your ride history has been processed your home screen will proudly display your ‘100 Climbs score’, the bigger the number, the bigger your bragging rights!
Exploring further you will see that via the interactive map you can be instantly directed to the base of each climb and in the factfile you will see the climb’s vital statistics together with comprehensive directions, a profile, a link to your previous efforts and the ability to view the climb on Strava. You can scroll the list of climbs which can be sorted by difficulty, geographically, by ridden, or best of all, by which is nearest to your current location so wherever you are you can find a climb to ride.
After you have loaded the Original 100 you can then add ‘Another 100’, all the climbs from my regional guides and now, EXCLUSIVE to the App, the all NEW X-list. These are the roads I’d missed or never had the time to reach before, the climbs that had flown under my radar and the climbs YOU have been begging me to ride over the years. From Sutherland in the north of Scotland to Folkestone in the south of Kent the list is full of killer climbs including the two climbs that have recently shook up the world of British hill climbing. Afon Ddu in the Conway valley and Bamford Clough in Derbyshire. Both with maximum gradients over 35%, both all but impossible to ride and both drawing cyclists to their vicious slopes like moths to a flame.
